Good Morning Bestie

Welcome to the Momentum Reset Newsletter besties! This newsletter has been a long time coming. When I originally came up with the idea, I had no idea what this was going to look like. But done is better than perfect. This is the newsletter that not only will give you the inspiration to thrive but tools to actually utilize in the week. Mindset shifts and what is going on behind the scene of this growing life. Imagine your weekly dose of Good Morning Bestie but the accountability of Momentum to get your life together. Enjoyyyyy bestie.

A little story time on where TF I have been. Life has been LIFE-ING but I can't complain because there has been so much growth happening. With moving into a house from my studio apartment, to having my car break down, a major change happening at the salon (did I mention that I also do hair as my full time career), not recording the podcast, picking up a night job. It seemed like I was all over the place. Falling back into the burn out cycle of not being intentional with time. After multiple crash outs, I had to make some hard decisions. Because hard choices, easy life. Easy choices, hard life. I was starting to get hard on myself because I was not showing up as the woman I know I can be. Having all these big goals and decision paralysis, doubt, and fear trying to take me out. Not to mention managing a schedule that did not feel aligned.

What shifted? Well, I got sick of my excuses. Waiting for the "right time" to take action. Playing all the inspirational tracks, morning routines, reading the books. But I was choosing to stay in the same mindset. Lack and worry. Stressing about the HOW (I talk about this all in the first episode of Season III).

It's funny when you are so stressed about how things are going to work, you are blocking yourself from possible ideas and it is a BIG ass limitation on you. Once I started relaxing and surrender to the fact that I know that everything is always going to work. Things move in my favor and I don't even have to try. That is when all the ideas started flowing in. Success loves speed and it is always leaving clues for you. Fast forward to December, a newsletter idea came and TA DA the Momentum Reset was born. There is so much more to share, I am grateful for you to be here and to see where this journey takes us!

Aligned AF

A quick mindset shift meets micro-habit magic. Each week you'll get a challenge, prompt, or question to reflect on, so you can take one aligned action toward the version of you that doesn't quit on herself.

The question of the week: Have I been creating or consuming more? If I wanted to create more, where would I start?

  • Creating= Focusing on your life, building your business, spending quality with loved ones. Especially this holiday season. It is easy to get stuck in the comfort of doom-scrolling because you think that there is nothing exciting going on in your life. What I want to challenge you with bestie is to find three things in your everyday routine that either relaxes, brings excitement, or straight up happiness. Is it your cooked dinner, going to the gym, walking your dog, reading a book? That is CREATING. You are doing things in your life that helps you not worry about what others are doing because comparison is a dead place. Now, what are you going to create more in your life this week!
  • Consuming= Doom scrolling, worried about what others are doing, comparing yourself to strangers on the internet. How are you suppose to thrive if that is occupying your mind?! 9/10 the reason why you are defaulting to consuming is because there is a small part of you that feels that what you want is not achievable. Your brain is wired to keep you safe. it does not like change. So when you decide to step out of your comfort zone it will try to find ways to get you back to old habits (I.e doom scrolling, binge watching Netflix, procrastinating task that will support you). I am so guilty of this bestie. I would not be writing this newsletter if I haven't experienced this before.

Now that you have the breakdown bestie, answer the question. Be honest and what are you going to shift this week?

Momentum Spotlight: Cindy Ransom Licensed Therapist and Stress Specialist Coach

Giving flowers to the besties who's embodying the work, whether they're building new routines, launching a passion project, or just showing up for themselves in a real way. This is where we celebrate progress and realignment.

Tell us who you are and what you do.

Hi, I'm Cindy Ransom, a licensed therapist specializing in anxiety and stress specialist coach who helps women understand their stress patterns, set healthier boundaries, and show up as their best selves without burning out.

Through my therapy practice, My Best Self Therapy, and my coaching community, The Stress Zodiac Collective, I teach women how to actually take care of themselves, not through complicated routines or unrealistic "self-care," but through accessible tools, nervous system awareness, and small shifts that create big relief.

At the heart of my work is one belief: when women understand themselves, they reclaim their power.

What does your current routine look like (realistically)?

Realistically? It's simple, flexible, and built around energy, not perfection.

My day starts quietly with affirmations, gratitude journaling and stillness before anyone else is awake, a few minutes where I can hear myself think and set an intention for the day. Some days I get up and reluctantly go to the gym but I always walk my dog in the mornings. I schedule sessions, coaching calls, and content blocks in a way that honors my energy where I build in small breaks to work on my puzzle and mental resets.

Most of my "routine" isn't about strict structure. It's about protecting pockets of space so I can show up fully for clients and my community. Some days flow beautifully. Some days are a little messy. Both are allowed.

Pick three characteristics that you think are non-negotiable for growth. Go into details.

  • Honesty. Real growth starts when we stop pretending we're "fine." Being honest about what's not working, your burnout, your boundaries, your stress patterns, is the doorway to change. It's uncomfortable, but it's the most loving thing you can do for yourself.

  • Kindness. You can't bully yourself into becoming your best self. Compassion softens defensiveness, lowers overwhelm, and makes change sustainable. It lets you make mistakes without quitting on yourself and applying that when engaging with others, even the most difficult people, is truly a skill worth working on.

  • Consistency through Micro-Action. My struggle most of my life has been consistency but once I started keeping the promises I made to myself I tapped into an incredible confidence builder which was a game changer! I kept the goals small and allowed myself to "tap out" at any time which made things less daunting. Growth isn't made from huge life overhauls. It's built from tiny shifts you can actually maintain, one reset, one boundary, one honest moment at a time. Micro-actions regulate your nervous system and create momentum in a way big changes rarely do.

What's one micro habit that's changed the way you show up for yourself? Why is it important?

Listening to my affirmations and setting my intention for the day has been a micro habit with a MAJOR change. Making sure to discipline yourself that when the thoughts start creeping in to stop and purposefully listen to something positive before anything else is important in aligning your energy and prioritizing your mindset first. This doesn't guarantee you will have a great day only to prepare for it. I tell my clients, the morning routine is studying, when you step out into your life? That's the test. You don't know everything that's onit, but at least you feel better prepared.

Bonus question: What's the worst (and best) piece of advice you've ever received?

Worst: "You just have to hustle harder." False. You need to put just as much energy into resting and recouping as you do working

Best: This too shall pass. Good things and bad things. It's all temporary.
