Good Morning Bestie

Hey bestie,

Happy Momentum Monday. Mid December is here and I could not help but to think about 2026 being around the corner. There is a part of me that is excited to see what is ahead. What opportunities are lining up, how are things going to show up, who is going to be around. Then there is other side, the inner critic trying to tell me that I am behind, if I started sooner where would I be, and criticizing me on past choices I made. ANNOYING to the core. The amount of times I want to hit a mute button and completely ignore that nonsense that enters my brain.

How many of us experience that? Who in this community is currently struggling with pushing forward and have some doubt creeping? Anytime that you have a sense of doubt or fear bestie I need you to call it the NEGATIVE. It is meant to distract you and get you to think that all your hard work is going unnoticed, you are behind, you are stuck in the same place. It is hard to deny these thoughts when what is currently in front of us is trying to prove the negative right. Nobody is interested in what we have to say, business is slow, I am lonely, there is nothing to look forward to.

Lets' take a moment to pause bestie. Take a nice deep breath in for 4 and slowly out for 4. Come back to who you are. You know you are meant to impact lives, you are meant to live a different life, there is a version of you that has EVERYTHING you ever desired. The solution is not in the WHAT but the WHO. Who do you have to be in order to have the life and things you are aspiring for?

It comes down to your routine bestie. I will die on this hill when I tell you that when you create structure in your life, you will have so much more freedom and time for YOU. "But Dani, I do not have the time to do XYZ". Why bestie? I am sure that there is one thing you can start practicing. Nobody tells you about the invisible progress, how every micro shift you make is compounding to reach the results you are growing towards. Every time you decided to skip the doom scrolling and post content, invisible progress, every gym session you showed up to (even if it is for 15 minutes...progress). That boundary you placed to not go out on a school night so you can get up early to get ready....PROGRESS.

There are going to be many reasons why you do not have the time to stick a plan even when you know that it is going to benefit you in the long run. To all my impatient besties, I see you. Nothing great will happen overnight, it is in the decisions you make every single day that will lead to big results. Period. I have also found that when I am intentionally occupying my time, it removes the need to look around and see what everyone else is doing because no where in my dream life states that I am consumed with what other people are doing with their lives.

Aligned AF

Since we are on the topic of routines. Here is a tip that has been a game changer for you to stay consistent and build a solid night routine. Write this phrase down: "Win tomorrow, tonight". We are going to imply a Wind Down routine bestie.

Two hours before your ideal time you would like to be in bed or going to sleep, you are going to wind down.

  • Get off your phone. Work mode is limited
  • Change to an outfit that signals to your brain we are winding down
  • Prepare for the next day (pack your lunch, pick your outfit, get your work bag ready). The less decisions you have to make the next day, the more room you will have to be creative.
  • Treat yourself! (skincare, have a nice dinner, spend time with a loved one, maybe a little Netflix or read a fiction book)

The goal is for you to start practicing how to relax and romanticize the life you have now bestie. You get to decide how that looks like. Creating your dream life is not a one size fits all, you make it work for YOUR schedule.

Momentum Spotlight: KOCO GUNN CONFIDENCE AND PUBLIC SPEAKING COACH

Giving flowers to the besties who's embodying the work, whether they're building new routines, launching a passion project, or just showing up for themselves in a real way. This is where we celebrate progress and realignment.

Tell us who you are and what you do.

I'm Koco Gunn, founder of Standing O: The Speaker Community and the voice behind The Voice Architect. I help dynamic women build unforgettable speaker brands rooted in charisma, confidence, and connection, whether that's on stage, on screen, or online. I don't coach speakers, I build ICONS.

What does your current routine look like (realistically)?

I still work a 9-5, so realistically? It's organized chaos. Most days I'm up early to review content, coach a client, or prep a hot seat session. Get a quick workout in and a healthy breakfast. I'm balancing being a wife, dance director, dog mom, and speaker. It's not always easy but I wouldn't have it any other way. Granted there are days where I want to move to Bali and live on a remote island. So to be honest some weeks I'm flowing and other weeks I'm just keeping my head above water. But I always make space for strategy, community, and a little retail therapy. Taking things on day at a time because building a business while balancing life can take a toll, focusing on keeping my mental health in check is definitely a priority.

Pick three characteristics that you think are non-negotiable for growth. Go into details.

  • Resilience. Business (and life) has taught me that some months are feast, others are famine. You need to keep showing up regardless. I would definitely classify myself as the most resilient person I know to be honest.

  • Clarity. When you know who you are, you stop explaining yourself. It took me a bit to figure this out and now that I am clear on WHO I am I move differently.

  • Action/Execution. We all know about manifesting but the action behind it is what really matters. The moment I treated my creativity and my ideas for The Voice Architect like a business, everything changed.

What's one micro habit that's changed the way you show up for yourself? Why is it important?

Putting habits and to-do list on my calendar. Very similar if not identical to time blocking. This allows me to not feel overwhelmed with an extensive to do list. Because we all know to-do-lists can be overwhelming as they can get long. Writing down my wins, no matter how small. It helps me stay grounded in progress, especially during the messy middle. Celebrating myself before the world does? That's personal power.

Bonus question: What's something you used to chase that you've now outgrown?

This is such a good question. As much as I hate to admit it, it's validation from others. My parents, my spouse, my friends, mentors and coaches. I was always wanting to make sure they approved of my decisions. It was because I didn't trust myself.....and that is now what I work on. Trusting myself and believing that even though others may not agree, I will always make the best decisions for myself and it doesn't require validation from anyone besides me.

Bestie you are not behind, I repeat: YOU ARE NOT BEHIND. I can share all the mindset shifts and inspiration, but that will not always be the solution for you to see the results you are looking for. This community is here to give you the practical steps to take and you will notice that everything will come to you with ease. I am so proud of you and excited to hear how you are improving your routines.
